Mustard Seed Market founders Robb & Danielle Stewart have been selected as judges for the 2022 Home & Garden category of the Made in NC Awards by Our State magazine!
With over 31 years of experience running a thriving garden center in Blowing Rock, NC, the Stewarts have expanded into the home furnishings and decor segment with their new location, Mustard Seed Home, at the beginning of 2022.
Danielle has a degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Atlanta. Robb graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in agriculture and business. Together, this couple has cultivated a niche market in the mountains of NC, providing everything from flowers, houseplants, trees & shrubs to a full-service landscape department. The Stewart's knowledge of the industry and business background has directed the Mustard Seed brand into a prime spot for all levels of gardeners, from plant enthusiasts to first-time growers.
"It's an honor to judge this category for the magazine," Danielle says. "Taking a leap of faith and starting as a small shop in 1992 with a 5-month-old and expanding our business now with two generations of Stewarts, we know firsthand what it's like to start with humble roots in the North Carolina mountains. Robb and I hope to award someone with these characteristics and recognize their talent in the Home & Garden category."
